Preparing for Freshman Year:
Please follow the packing list distributed at your New Student Conference. If you have not received one, please contact any one of the Current Cadets listed and we will send you a copy. We will remind parents and freshmen that TVs, microwaves, coffee pots and refrigerators are not approved for freshmen rooms. Please do not bring extra furniture, elaborate bedding sets, decorative pillows, rugs, carpeting, or storage units. Freshmen are allotted one footlocker and may use that for storage however they wish. We ask that you buy a standard size footlocker (Academy, Walmart, etc). Irons and ironing boards may be stored in freshmen rooms and are acceptable items.
Parents, your freshmen will be required to clean their rooms daily and are subject to inspection. That being said, please make sure that your Cadet is competent in basic cleaning skills such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, etc.
Shower caddies must be portable; cadets will not be authorized to leave toiletries in the shower area.
If your Cadet has any previous injury or medical condition that may flare up during, or otherwise interfere with, training; please contact the outfit First Sergeant as soon as conveniently possible so that training may be adjusted if any problems arise.
It is highly recommended that your cadet bring the following items:
Vitamins
A Blister Kit (with moleskin)
Safety Pins
Duct Tape
Appropriate grooming items (shaving kits for male cadets; hair supplies for female cadets)
Sharpie Marker
Desk Lamp
Alarm Clock
Water Bottle to carry to class
Portable Day Planner

Physical Training Program:
The Corps uses a crossfit style training program which will include weight-lifting, body weight movements, short sprints, and cardio exercises. The minimum Physical Standards at the end of the Fall Semester are as follows; cadets are highly encouraged to exceed the minimums by this time.
Males:
40 Pushups in 2 Minutes
50 Situps in 2 Minutes
1.5 Mile Run in 12:30
Females:
30 Pushups in 2 Minutes
50 Situps in 2 Minutes
1.5 Mile Run in 15:00
Cadet's daily schedules will typically begin at 0630 or 0530 (on Morning Workout Days) and end around 9:30 PM, after study time and free time. Cadets may miss Corps Scheduled Activities if they have an approved letter (they will learn the format at a later date) for a valid reason (doctor's appointment, family emergency, tutoring, etc).
If you have any questions, feel free to contact any of the Cadets listed on the Chain of Command.
